Fall is just around the corner in Rockwall, and the next few weeks are packed with reasons to get out and enjoy it. From Oktoberfest in Rowlett, to a fireworks-filled celebration in Fate, to a downtown street jamboree in Greenville, to a fall-themed sip and shop at Rosini Vineyards, there's no shortage of ways to soak up the season with family and friends.

Whether you're into classic cars, live music, local vendors, or just finding a good excuse to get out of the house, this lineup has something for everyone. We've rounded up the can't-miss events happening over the next few weeks across Rockwall, Rowlett, Forney, Fate, Greenville, Terrell, Royse City, and Heath — plus a few local favorites that happen all season long.

Saturday, September 17
  • 31st Semi-Annual Greenville Swap Meet (Greenville) – Thursday-Saturday, join us for our semi-annual swap meet at the Hunt County Fairgrounds! All antiques, car parts, crafts, food, and other amazing vendors. Over 100 vendors, car show on Saturday, and lots of events for the kids! 
Saturday, September 19
  • Oktoberfest (Rowlett) – Your lederhosen are calling. Oktoberfest is THIS SATURDAY!  Live on Main is getting a German twist on September 19 with live polka, bier games, Masskrugstemmen, dirndl and lederhosen competitions, and plenty of Oktoberfest food and bier. 
  • Celebrate Fate 2026 (Fate) – Join us for an evening filled with live music, food vendors, family activities, community fun, and a fireworks finale as we celebrate everything that makes Fate special. 
  • Lee Street Jamboree with Randall King (Greenville) – This free, family-friendly street party is the perfect way to spend an evening in the heart of Downtown Greenville. Whether you’re riding in the bike event or just looking for a great night out, the Jamboree offers something for everyone. 
Sunday, September 20
  • Annual Rockwall Fall Sip & Shop (Rockwall) – Join us at Rosini Vineyards for a festive Fall Sip & Shop filled with local vendors, seasonal treats, and fun fall finds for everyone! Grab your friends, sip your favorite drinks, and enjoy an afternoon of shopping and community. 
Friday, September 25
  • Saved by the 90s (Rowlett) – 90's Night featuring Brazos Elkins at 6:00 pm and our title band Hip Hop Hooray at 7:30 pm. 
Saturday, September 26
  • Brews on Bois D' Arc (Forney) – Bring your friends and family and experience an evening of entertainment, local vendors, and community fun in Downtown Forney. 
  • Audubon Kayak Bird Tour (Rowlett) – Join the fun with a bird/nature tour on Lake Ray Hubbard.  View, photograph & identify local wildlife & birds around and on the lake.  Blue herons, bald eagles, other migratory birds, and many local mammals can be seen.
  • Drag N Destroy Showdown (Forney) – Truck, car & bike show to support autism and anti-bullying. Live music and DJ, door prizes, food, kid’s games and more. 
Friday, October 2
  • Viva Cultura (Rowlett) – This vibrant evening is packed with authentic culinary flavors, an artisan Latin market, and performances that showcase the rich culture and traditions of the community — from mariachi and folklórico dance to live Tejano music. Come hungry, come curious, and come ready to celebrate. 
Saturday, October 3
  • Heritage Car Show (Terrell) – Join us in Historic Downtown Terrell for the 3rd Annual Heritage Car Show on Saturday, October 3rd! Enjoy a day filled with classic and vintage cars, great food, and a fun, family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of downtown. 
Tuesday, October 6
  • National Night Out (Heath) – National Night Out in Heath is held in the Heath Fire Bay at 200 Laurence Drive. Enjoy a complimentary dinner, snow cones, DJ and fun music, and inflatables, including a 20′ fire truck slide!

 

Recurring Events
  • Rockwall Farmers Market (Rockwall) – Saturdays through September.  Rockwall Farmers Market has become one of the area’s most popular destinations for locals to purchase fresh produce and specialty foods such as grass-fed meats, fresh baked artisan pastries, seafood, honey, jams, pasta, and tamales, to name just a few. The market also features local talent, providing live music at each market.
  •  San Jacinto Music Series (Rockwall) – through October.  Help make your summer one to remember at San Jacinto Plaza Music Series. Come celebrate our 12th season of live music with new artists and returning favorites! Come relax under the evening sky and enjoy listening to some of the area’s most talented singers and songwriters.
  •  Burnouts & Barbecue with Texas Speed & Restoration (Royse City) – Join us for Burnouts & Barbecue with Texas Speed & Restoration, taking place on the last Saturday of each month from 8-11am.  We will be serving breakfast burritos and coffee for you to enjoy!
